Welcome to the online “book” for the second-year IBA course Statistics 2. This book accompanies the content covered in the lectures. On Canvas, I will post which chapters/slides we will cover in each lecture.

In this course we cover estimation and inference in both the simple and multiple linear regression models. We provide foundations in theory and do many practical examples with real data. For these practical examples we will using the R programming language in RStudio. This follows on from the first-year IBA course Programming and Quantitative Skills that introduced you to R. You may find it helpful to read through the online book of that course here as a referesher.

As this book is new, it is likely that it will be edited throughout the semester.
